BUSINESS ALERT! If your business hopes to compete as a contractor, subcontractor, or a supplier on any of the projects funded through the U.S. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act you must have a federal DUNS number for each physical location of your business. We are hearing that there is a backlog in obtaining DUNS numbers and so are encouraging all businesses to get this out of the way now so
that you don't miss out on future contracting opportunities!
Dun & Bradstreet provides the DUNS Number, a unique nine digit identification number, for free to businesses that are required to register with the Federal government. Registration for a DUNS number is very simple and may be done on-line (http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform) or by phone (1-866-705-5711). Information that you will need to provide to obtain a DUNS:
· Legal Name
· Tradestyle, Doing Business As (DBA), or other name by which your organization is commonly recognized
· Physical Address, City, State and Zip Code
· Mailing Address (if separate)
· Telephone Number
